Problem
The North East Support Directory (NESD) had come incredibly far using no-code tools, but they were reaching the limits of what these tools could provide. They came to us to help to build a more performant, scalable and flexible platform that could handle their growing needs.
Solution
We started by understanding the existing system and the specific requirements of NESD. Then, we designed, built and integrated a custom architecture, removing the need for third party services and subscriptions.
A bespoke web scraper was created to automatically collect data from the NESD’s existing sources, and we also integrated a third party AI web crawling service to augment the data collection process.
Once the new system was in place, we created a reusable framework to rapidly analyse the results produced by different AI models for NESD’s specific use case. The results were then visualised to allow NESD to choose from a wide-range of open source and proprietary models to power their AI processes.
Results
With the new system in place, NESD was able to scale their operations and improve performance. The new architecture reduced costs, while the AI research framework continues to provide them with the ability to review and analyse any emerging AI models, to ensure their users are always being provided with the best information possible.
